The latest March Pixel Feature Drop brings various new functions and features. Unfortunately, it has removed a useful addition from recent updates – the battery information section.

Changes in Battery Information:

Previously, Android 14 QPR1 for Google Pixel phones provided a basic statistic for monitoring device battery health. This could be found under Settings > About Phone > “Battery information,” showing the manufacturing date of the device and the “Cycle count” for the battery. Unlike iPhones, there was no “Battery health” data, only the count of battery cycles.

Delay in OTA Rollout:

While the OTA for the Pixel 5a and newer models is not yet available in all regions, Pixel owners in the US must wait until March 11 for the 700MB+ update.

Issues Reported:

Despite regional availability, reports on the 9to5Google YouTube channel indicate users claiming to have lost the “Battery information” section from their Pixel Settings app after updating overnight. Several test devices also no longer have this option after applying the March patch, suggesting a widespread issue. It remains unclear if this affects all Pixel phones with the update.
