Introducing the Latest MacBook Air Laptops

Apple unveiled its newest MacBook Air laptops, featuring the latest M3 system-on-chip (SoC), on Monday. These upgraded notebooks maintain the same sizes as previous models, offering options in 13.6 inches and 15.3 inches, with prices starting at $1,099 and $1,299 respectively.

Enhanced Performance with M3 Processor

The primary improvement in Apple’s 2024 MacBook Air laptops is the M3 processor. Manufactured using TSMC’s N3B process, this SoC was introduced late last year as part of the MacBook Pro lineup before being integrated into the MacBook Air family.

Advanced Graphics and Media Capabilities

The M3 chip boasts four high-performance cores operating at speeds up to 4.05 GHz, along with four energy-efficient cores. Additionally, it features a 10-core GPU with dynamic caching, hardware-accelerated ray tracing, and hardware-accelerated mesh shading. Furthermore, the M3 chip includes a new media engine with hardware-accelerated AV1 decoding capabilities for smooth playback of high-resolution videos.
