Apple Rolls Out iOS 17.3 and iPadOS 17.3 Updates

Today, Apple launched iOS 17.3 and iPadOS 17.3, the third major updates to the iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 operating systems. These follow the initial releases in September 2023 and come on the heels of iOS 17.2 and iPadOS 17.2 with the Journal app, released just over a month ago.

Updating Made Easy:

To get the latest features, users can easily download iOS 17.3 and iPadOS 17.3 on their eligible iPhones and iPads by navigating to Settings > General > Software Update. Additionally, Apple has released iOS 15.8.1 and iOS 16.7.5 for those on older iOS versions.

Stolen Device Protection:
– Adds an extra layer of security, requiring Face ID or Touch ID for specific actions, protecting private information in case of device theft.

Lock Screen:
– Introduces a new Unity wallpaper in honor of Black history and culture for Black History Month.

Music:
– Enables collaborative Apple Music playlists where friends and family can add, reorder, and remove songs.
– Allows emoji reactions on tracks within collaborative playlists.

Additional Features:
– AirPlay hotel support for streaming content directly to select hotel room TVs.
– Enhanced AppleCare & Warranty display in Settings, showing coverage for all devices linked to your Apple ID.
– Crash detection optimizations for iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 models.
