This security flaw, considered one of the most severe in recent times, allowed malicious actors to infiltrate iPhones without the user’s consent or knowledge. Pegasus, developed by the NSO Group, is infamous for its advanced surveillance capabilities, including remote access to the device’s camera, microphone, and messages.

To update your iPhone to iOS 16.6.1, follow these steps:

  1. Go to “Settings” on your device.
  2. Scroll down and tap on “General.”
  3. Select “Software Update.”
  4. If the update is available, tap “Download and Install.
