The current pin limit of three chats has been in place since 2017, making this increase overdue. In regions where WhatsApp is dominant, managing chat lists can be overwhelming, especially with business interactions. Recognizing this, WhatsApp introduced chat pinning in 2017, limited to three chats. Finally, after nearly seven years, users can pin two additional chats in the latest Android beta version.
Reports from WABetaInfo confirm the update, allowing users to pin up to five chats. While speculation exists about further increases, there’s no evidence of WhatsApp working on such an update yet.
