Instagram, the popular social media platform owned by Meta, is rolling out fresh updates to its messaging system. While some of these features may be familiar, the company is enhancing their accessibility by integrating them directly into the messaging interface, allowing users to stay within the chat while using these tools.
Previously, to add stickers or draw on a photo, users had to switch to the Stories composer, save the edited image, and then send it as a message. Now, these functionalities are seamlessly available within the messaging interface itself, streamlining the process.
Additionally, Instagram has introduced a fun new feature for birthdays. Users can create a celebratory note that, when tapped by their followers, triggers a cake effect accompanied by a confetti animation. The update also brings new chat themes, including the popular “Sabrina Carpenter” theme.
Moreover, Instagram recently added the ability to leave comments on Stories and is currently testing a revamped profile layout. Last month, the platform also introduced an option for users to add a song to their profile page, further enhancing personalization and engagement.
