Apple’s next product event

Apple has announced that its next product event will happen on September 9 at 1 pm ET. This event usually introduces new iPhone models. This year, we expect the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro to be revealed.

New Apple products Besides iPhones, Apple often reveals new Apple Watches during these September events. Updated Apple TV boxes might also make an appearance, though Apple doesn’t update them as frequently.

Anticipated Mac releases Many people anticipate the first wave of M4 Macs, including refreshed MacBook Pros and a redesigned Mac mini. However, Apple might delay these Mac announcements for a separate event in October or November. So, it’s possible they won’t be mentioned on September 9.

iPad lineup It’s unlikely Apple will discuss iPads, considering the entire lineup was updated in May with new iPad Pro and iPad Air models. Additionally, Apple reduced the price of the 10th-generation iPad. They also discontinued the aging 9th-gen iPad, marking the end of models with a Lightning port, Home button, or headphone jack.

Software updates Apple is also expected to announce release dates for new software versions, including iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS 15 sequoia, watchOS, tvOS, and the HomePod operating system. However, some Apple intelligence features might not launch until the iOS/iPadOS 18.1 and macOS 15.1 updates later this year.
